SMILE

Sometimes
when I am compelled
to wonder
about the vastness
of the universe,
It scares me a little
how pointless
my existence is
how useless
my worries are
how ineffective
my actions become
in view of
the bigger picture

and yet
when you smile
why does it feel
like I have found
my purpose?
